Architecture Barbie

Objective:

This workshop was designed specifically to encourage young ladies, ages 11-14, to be confident in themselves. After an engaging discussion determining how young ladies see themselves now and in the future, they designed a 'plan' and drew their future home, office, etc. and shared with peers.

 

Results:

The girls opened up about themselves, charting futures some hadn't thought much about. Although one young lady shyly admitted she wanted to be a doctor instead of an architect, we assured her we support all dreams for future success.
